• "Full Service” maintenance - $110.00 per bench per month. Fee includes potting, watering, fertilizing, upshifting, weeding, staking and pest control. Charges are prorated weekly and applied in quarter bench increments. Faculty may request additional services at any time (see Special Services below).
  • “Minimal Service” maintenance - $ 55.00 per bench per month. Fee includes pest control only. Charges are prorated weekly and applied in quarter bench increments. Faculty may request additional services at any time (see Special Services below).

  
  • “Full Service” maintenance - $55.00 per bench ($220 per full chamber) per month. Fee includes potting, watering, fertilizing, upshifting, weeding, staking and pest control.   • “Minimal Service” maintenance - $41.25 per bench ($165 per full chamber) per month. Fee includes pest control only. Charges are prorated weekly and applied in half bench increments. Faculty may request additional services at any time (see Special Services below).

A fee of $10.00 per hour (minimum 5 minutes per event, 1/2-hour per month) will be assessed for any services not normally provided under the maintenance categories above. For those categorized as “Minimal Service”, examples include potting, watering, fertilizing, upshifting, weeding and staking. For either category, examples include specialized potting or fertility regimes, seed collection, autoclaving, bungee cording pots to benches, and cleanup in excess of “usual”. Services may be requested in advance or applied at the discretion of the Manager where it is determined necessary or in the best interest of research plants (Manager will seek preapproval in all cases).


NOTE: Faculty requiring special cultural conditions (including restrictive photoperiod and/or temperature, isolated pest or pathogen research, non-standard cultural methods, etc.) which prohibit shared use of any greenhouse bench, bay or growth chamber may be assessed fees for the entire bench, bay or chamber and should budget accordingly. The Greenhouse Manager will consult with the Greenhouse Committee and/or Committee Chair in cases where circumstances warrant applying such charges.
